"Phantom Print" is inspired by Lars Morells painting series "Shadow Canvas". To achieve the same look and depth as in the paintings, Morell has collaborated with the printing studio Nerem BSS and their main expert on silkscreen printing.

The motif is printed in two layers of silkscreen. The first layer consists of four colors laid out in a gradation and mixed together before the silk cloth hits the paper. From a muted ultramarine, via two lighter varieties mixed with magenta and finally a lighter teal. In the next layer, the motif itself is printed as a transparent layer in a darker tone over the entire motif, while at the same time reinforcing the underlying colours. The work is printed on 300g Conqueror Connoisseur paper, 100% cotton.
