Sara-Lovise Ask Ewertson

Sculpture, Textile, Drawing, Installation

Sara-Lovise Ask Ewertson (b. 1991, Norway) is an artist based in Oslo. She holds a BA from the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås and a MA from Konstfack in Stockholm.

Ask’s intermedial artistic practice ranges from textile sculpture to installation, drawing and digital textile rendering. Working with textiles in the aforementioned non-traditional way, has become a distinct direction in Ask’s artistic practice. Her work remains dedicated to challenging the viewer’s awareness of the connectedness of the textile industry to climate change. Her aim is to explore the conditions of society where the majority of textile knowledge lies far away from those who consume it the most.

Her works have been displayed at Röhsska, Ark des, Umeå Konsthall, Nässjö konsthall, 3:e våningen, BO, Podium, Spiriten Kunsthall, Soft Galleri, among others. Ask is currently working towards her forthcoming solo exhibition at Bærum Kunsthall, February 2025.
