Olve Sande (b. 1984, Bergen, NO) is educated at the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo (BA), the University of Oslo and The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (MA).

Olve Sande's background in architecture and literature seems crucial to his work as a visual artist and forms the basis for a number of the issues he works with in his art. His interest in architecture is also reflected in his use of standardized building elements as his artistic material. Sande's art is not primarily linked to a studio practice and the works are often conceptualized and materialized with a strong site-specific connection to the exhibition location. As part of the conceptual framework, Sande also imposes a number of limitations on the creative process.

Olve Sande is acquired by the Astrup Fearnley Museum, Oslo, NO, Fondazione Giuliani, Roma, IT, Institut d’art contemporain (IAC), Villeurbanne/Rhône-Alpes, FR and Stavanger Art Museum, Stavanger, NO.
