Kristin Austreid

Painting

Kristin Austreid (b. 1985, Haugesund) is a graduate of the Bergen Academy of the Arts (BA, MA). Austreid's work with painting flows somewhere between abstraction and figuration. She zooms in on a rope, a glass or a piece of fabric, and her exceptional details draw the viewer in. Her works give the viewer only a piece of the puzzle, and makes one think about what is happening off the screen, what has happened before and what is to come. Austreid's works are in the collections of Equinor and Oslo Municipality's Art Collection, Bergen Municipality's Art Collection and Collection of the City of Burdsorf.
